Privacy Policy

Effective 24 September 2026

ZensusRadar (zensusradar.de) is responsible for personal data processed through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and German data-protection law.

1. Controller

Controller: ZensusRadar, operating the website zensusradar.de. Contact for privacy requests: [email protected].

2. What we collect

When you take part in a study we collect the questions and personal details that study actually asks for. That can include your name, date of birth, email address, phone number, country, German state, and your answers. We also record that you took part. If you arrived from an advertisement we may store which campaign sent you, without putting your name in the web address. A study never asks for more than it needs for that research.

3. Legal basis

Participation is voluntary. We process your study data on the basis of your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw consent by writing to [email protected]. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened. Optional contact about later studies is a separate choice and is not required to send a study.

4. Why we process data

We use responses to run the study you joined and to produce grouped research statistics that describe groups rather than individuals. We do not sell personal data. We do not use study answers for credit scoring, insurance pricing, or unsolicited marketing.

5. Grouped results

After you send answers we update group totals, for example how many people chose yes, rating ranges, age groups and regions. Those totals do not contain names, phone numbers or email addresses. Public pages never show one person's answers.

6. Retention and deletion

Individual records are kept only for a limited time (by default 90 days, or the period set for that study) so the research can be checked. After that period the individual record is deleted automatically. You may also ask us to delete it earlier by emailing [email protected], or from your research account if you created one. Grouped statistics that no longer identify you may stay in the research archive.

7. Who can see your data

Your information is stored on our systems. Only authorised staff can see individual records. Those records are not shown on the public website. We do not publish raw lists of answers. Companies that host our infrastructure act only on our instructions.

8. Transfers

We keep this service in the European Union. If a transfer outside the EEA were ever required, we would use a GDPR-compliant safeguard and tell you in an updated version of this policy.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and to object where applicable, and the right to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your residence, workplace, or of the alleged infringement. In Germany this is typically the data-protection authority of your federal state, or the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI).

10. Cookies

You can complete a study without creating an account. If you create an account, we keep you signed in on this device. We also remember your language choice. If you arrived from an advertisement, that network may already use its own cookies before you reach us. Those are not set by this site.

11. How we protect information

We protect your information while it is sent to us, limit who can see individual records, and delete those records after the study retention period. Individual answers are not shown on public pages.

12. Children

Studies are for adults (18+) unless a later study says otherwise. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

13. Contact

Privacy requests: [email protected]. We will handle requests in line with the GDPR time limits.
